Account deletion

Barakah Tasks is built to keep your data yours. This page explains how to delete it: the data on your device, and anything synced to our servers. The full picture of what we store is in the Privacy Policy.
If you never signed in
The Free tier needs no account. Everything stays on your device, so uninstalling the app removes all of it. Nothing about you is held on our servers.
If you have an account
To close your account and delete the data synced to our servers, email [email protected] from the email address you signed in with, with the subject "Delete my account". We verify the request against your sign-in address, then delete your account and its server-side data: synced tasks and categories, settings, cloud-stored attachments, and collaboration records. In-app account deletion is planned for a later release.
What deletion does not cover
- Data on your own devices. Uninstall the app to remove local data.
- Store records. Purchase and subscription records are held by Google Play and the App Store under their own policies. Cancel any active subscription in your store account; deleting your Barakah Tasks account does not cancel a store subscription.
- Shared categories you contributed to. Messages you posted in someone else's shared category may remain visible to its members, as described in the Privacy Policy.
